About EPA's Deputy Chief Financial Officer
Gregg Treml
Gregg Treml is the Deputy Chief Financial Officer for the EPA. His responsibilities include oversight of EPA’s annual budget and performance plans, financial operations, and financial information systems. Gregg is also responsible for directing strategic planning and policy development efforts as well as overseeing the E-Enterprise for the Environment initiative, EPA’s continuous improvement efforts, and the Agency’s evidence and evaluation activities.
Prior to joining EPA, Gregg served as Assistant Inspector General & Deputy Chief Financial Officer at the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General. Gregg has also held leadership roles in budget, finance, and human resources at the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the General Services Administration’s Public Buildings Service, and the Department of Homeland Security.
Gregg earned a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, with minors in Finance and Western Civilization, from Providence College.
