EPA cites Wisconsin, Minnesota companies for hazardous chemicals recordkeeping

CHICAGO (Aug. 3, 2005) — U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 recently settled administrative cases involving hazardous chemical recordkeeping violations with Kerry Inc., Beloit, Wis., and Molin Concrete Products, Lino Lakes, Minn.
Kerry, doing business as Kerry Ingredients, 200 W. Grand Ave., paid a civil penalty of $40,221 to resolve EPA's March 2004 complaint for failure to submit to state and local authorities and the Beloit fire department, the required 2002 chemical inventory forms for ammonia, sulfuric acid and nitric acid.
Molin Concrete Products, 415 Lilac St., paid a civil penalty of $17,876 to resolve EPA's February 2004 complaint for failure to submit to state and local authorities, and the Lino Lakes fire department, the required 2002 chemical inventory forms for propane, fuel oil, gasoline, pozzolith additive, portland cement and fly ash.
