PRESIDENT BUSH INTENDS TO NOMINATE EPA
ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR
ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR
President Bush intends to nominate Kimberly Terese Nelson to be EPA Assistant Administrator for Environmental Information. In this position, she would be the Agency’s chief information officer with responsibility for information collection, analysis and dissemination, including the Toxics Release Inventory, and management of the agency’s computer operations. Nelson currently is Executive Deputy Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, in which agency she has also served as Director of Program Integration and Effectiveness and as Chief Information Officer. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
