Meeting to be Held in Siloam Springs about Confined Animal Feeding Operations

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), with assistance from the Arkansas Soil and Water Conservation Commission, has scheduled a public forum to hear citizens' comments about dairies and animal feeding operations, including swine, cattle and poultry facilities.
Registration will begin 30 minutes before the meeting. Those registered will be allowed five minutes to make a presentation, voice their opinion or ask questions. Speakers will be heard in the order they register. Others who do not register but wish to speak will be heard as time permits. Written comments also will be received.
The agencies are particularly interested in hearing residents' thoughts about water quality, voluntary actions and growth as related to confined animal feeding operations.
