OKLAHOMA MAN INDICTED FOR DUMPING HAZARDOUS WASTE
On Sept. 3, Jimmy Dale Fox of Osage, Okla., was indicted in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma in Tulsa on two counts of illegal disposal of hazardous waste in violation of the Resource Conservation Recovery Act. Fox, owner of the Fox Welding and Machine Shop, allegedly buried 48 55-gallon drums of ignitable paint and solvent waste at two locations in the Osage area. If convicted, Fox faces a maximum of up to ten years imprisonment and/or fines up to $500,000. The case was investigated by EPA’s Criminal Investigation Division and the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality.
