EPA HOSTS PUBLIC MEETINGS TO DISCUSS PROPOSAL FOR TOXIC RELEASE INVENTORY INDUSTRY EXPANSION

EPA will host two public meetings to discuss the Agency's proposal to add industry sectors to the current list of manufacturing facilities required to report under section 313 of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986, also known as the Toxics Release Inventory. The first meeting will be on Aug. 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the EPA Auditorium, 401 M St. S.W., Washington, D.C. The second meeting will be on Aug. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the O'Hare Marriott Hotel, 8535 West Higgins Road, Chicago, Ill. The meeting in Chicago will focus on potential impacts on small entities, including small businesses and local governments. To schedule an oral statement, call Cassandra Vail at 202-260-0675.
