EPA PUBLISHES REFERENCE GUIDE FOR FAMILIES TO REDUCE LEAD HAZARDS IN THE HOME
EPA has published a new guide that families can reference to help reduce lead hazards and prevent exposure in the home. The new publication provides comprehensive guidance on steps that can be taken to reduce lead hazards, including information on common sources of lead in the home, how to test for the presence of lead, and safeguards for preventing exposure when conducting home repairs or renovations. The guide also provides a list of state and other contacts that can provide families with more assistance in protecting their children from lead hazards. "Lead in Your Home: A Parent’s Reference Guide" can be ordered through EPA’s lead hotline, 1-800-424-LEAD and is available on the Internet at: https://www.epa.gov/lead.
