EPA Awards Over $100,000 to the Modoc Tribe

(Dallas Texas – December 26, 2007) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $110,000 to the Modoc Tribe General Assistance Program. The tribe will use the funds to maintain an environmental office and develop a quality management plan and a Web site. The tribe will also expand services and improve operations of their Red Cedar Recycling service, as well as continue to educate tribal members on the importance of recycling.
