Former Mayor Daley Chief of Staff To Speak On Philanthropy And Public Policy March 26

Chicago (March 3, 2009) Julia Stasch will speak about "Philanthropy and Public Policy" at a Federal Executive Board forum on March 26. The talk will be an introduction to partnership possibilities between government and private foundations dedicated in finding creative solutions to complex challenges.
The presentation is part of the Chicago Federal Leadership Forum series and will take place at the Metcalfe Federal Building, Room 331, 77 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The program is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The cost is $75 and includes a continental breakfast. Stasch is vice present of the Program on Human and Community Development at the John D. and Katherine T. MacArthur Foundation. Prior to joining the foundation in 2001, Julia served as chief of staff to Mayor Richard M. Daley of Chicago as well as deputy administrator of the General Services Administration
in Washington, D.C. Stasch will use examples from the MacArthur Foundation's diverse national and international portfolio.
