On Friday, May 1, EPA will hold a press briefing to announce a major expansion of its public right-to-know initiatives -- the Sector Facility Indexing Project -- which will make available for the first time comprehensive information on the environmental performance of hundreds of facilities in five industrial sectors through the Internet. The briefing will be conducted by Sylvia Lowrance, EPA’s Deputy Assistant Administrator for Enforcement and Compliance Assurance, and Chuck Fox, EPA’s Associate Administrator for Reinvention.
