U.S. EPA offers oil spill prevention workshop in Helena

- DENVER – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will conduct a no-cost workshop on oil pollution prevention regulations and the requirements for a federal spill prevention control and countermeasure (SPCC) plan from 8 a.m. to noon, March 4, at the EPA Building conference room, main floor, suite B, 10 West 15th St., Helena.

Federal SPCC plans must be prepared and implemented by facilities that store, process, transfer, distribute, use, consume, drill, produce, gather, or refine oil or oil products. Such products include petroleum oils, including gasoline, asphalt, kerosene, motor oil, animal and fish oils; vegetable oils; and synthetic oils.
