U.S. EPA offers oil spill prevention workshop in Billings

      DENVER – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will conduct a no-cost workshop on oil
      pollution prevention regulations and the requirements for a federal spill prevention control and countermeasure (SPCC) plan from 8 a.m. to noon, March 2, at the Bureau of Land Management Conference Room, Main Floor, Side B, 5001 Southgate Drive, Billings.
This is an opportunity to learn directly from the EPA and to get your questions answered. Pre-registration and a photo identification are required. It is requested that workshop participants use the employee parking lot, not visitors’ parking.

Federal SPCC plans must be prepared and implemented by facilities that store, process, transfer, distribute, use, consume, drill, produce, gather, or refine oil or oil products. Such products include petroleum oils, including gasoline, asphalt, kerosene, motor oil, animal and fish oils; vegetable oils; and synthetic oils.
