EPA awards $360,000 to State of Texas to inspect demolition and renovation projects

(Dallas, Texas – April 4, 2007) The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $360,000 to Texas to support the state's program for planning, monitoring, and enforcing National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP). The Texas Department of State Health Services will use the funds to inspect demolition and renovation projects in public buildings. The activity conducted under this grant is part of the state's continuing air pollution control and abatement program.
