This Year's Last Free EPA Regional Brownfields Workshop Sept. 12

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Kansas City, Kan., Sept. 5, 2007) - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 7 Brownfields team will conduct this year's last free Brownfields Grant Workshop on Wednesday, Sept. 12, in Salina, Kan. Participants will learn about money available to assess and clean up brownfields in their community. The one-day workshop is designed to cover the basics of submitting a proposal to the EPA Brownfields Program and offer guidance for improving the quality of the proposal. The deadline to apply for 2008 brownfields money is Oct. 12, 2007. A Clu-In session is scheduled Tuesday, Oct. 2, to address final questions.
