BP AMOCO AND INTERNATIONAL TRUCK AND ENGINE
RECOGNIZED BY EPA FOR CLEANER TECHNOLOGY



EPA Deputy Administrator Linda Fisher will announce on Friday July 27, at 2:30 p.m., the Agency’s certification of Green Diesel Technology engines for use in school buses. This technology is developed by International Truck and Engine Corporation and is currently being used in the San Diego, Calif. school district. BPAmoco is providing the low sulfur diesel fuel needed to run the school bus engines. These two companies are being recognized for working to meet the deadline of the heavy duty diesel sulfur rule ahead of schedule.

WHO: EPA Deputy Administrator Linda Fisher; Mike McAdams, BP Amoco Vice President Federal Affairs and the environment; Pat Charbonneau, International Truck and Engine Corporation; and Alexandra Robinson, San Diego School District showcasing a green diesel technology school bus.

WHERE: Friday, July 27, at 2:30 p.m. The North Courtyard of the Ariel Rios Building, (where EPA Headquarters is located) on 12th, Street N.W., near the Intersection of 12th Street and Pennsylvania Ave., (across from the Post Office Pavilion) Note: If it rains the event will be held in Room 6226, Ariel Rios Building South entrance, 1200 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W.

By Taxi: Go to the intersection of 12th and Pennsylvania across from the Post Office Pavilion to the guard station located on 12th Street.
