EPA, NH DES and Congressional Delegation Tour Troy Mills Landfill Superfund Site

BOSTON – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the New Hampshire Congressional Delgation and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services will tour the Troy Mills Landfill Superfund Site in Troy, NH. The site last month received $8 million to remove 6,000-10,000 buried drums.

Directions: Take Route 12 to Troy. Continue on Rt. 12 past the Troy Mills facility on your right. Turn right onto South Street. Go for about 2 miles to a stop sign. Take a "hard right" onto dirt road which is Rockwood Pond Road.
Stay on Rockwood Pond Road for about 1 mile, you will see a dam for Rockwood Pond on left and railroad right of way on right. Take the next immediate right turn into the landfill and stay on wooded dirt road for almost one mile and follow EPA's signs into the landfill.
