EPA TO HOLD BOSTON GRANT CONFERENCE

BOSTON -- The New England Office of the Environmental Protection Agency is holding a bidding conference March 30 for non-profit and grassroots organizations in the Greater Boston area that are interested in applying for funds under the agency's Urban Environmental Initiative.
The conference will be held from 1 - 4 p.m. in the New England Room of the Federal Reserve Bank on 600 Atlantic Ave. in Boston.
The conference will provide an overview of the Urban Environmental Initiative's targeted programs, examples of past funded projects, grant application processes, and practical tips on how to prepare a strong application. The EPA awards grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 for a variety of urban environmental projects, including lead poisoning prevention, indoor air quality, urban waterways, and vacant lot remediation.
