(Dallas, Texas – March 27, 2009) The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has fined Glenn Supply Company, Inc. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, $32,940 for violating federal Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) regulations outlined under the Clean Water Act. Today’s announcement settles a Clean Water Act violation for a 3,800 gallon oil spill into the North Canadian River and its adjoining shorelines from Glenn Supply Company’s oil production facility in Okfuskee County. A federal inspection of the facility revealed that the company had failed to prepare a SPCC Plan for the facility which contributed to the oil spill.
