2005 Nanotechnology and the Environment Grants Workshop

(Washington, D.C.-Oct. 24, 2005) EPA's Office of Research and Development will sponsor a meeting to discuss research progress on nanotechnology and the environment on Wednesday, Oct. 26 through Friday, Oct. 28, 2005. EPA funds research under its Science to Achieve Results (STAR) program, and grantees will present their work on topics including sensors, fate and transport, toxicology, and green manufacturing. International speakers will discuss nanotechnology research in Canada and Europe. Leaders of the nanotechnology initiative in the United States will present overviews of nanotechnology research.
