EPA settles with Port Stop Citgo on underground storage tank violation

CHICAGO (Feb. 7, 2007) - U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 has reached an agreement with Port Stop Citgo, 243 W. Johnson Road, LaPorte, Ind., on an alleged violation of federal underground storage tank regulations. A $25,000 penalty will be paid.
EPA inspections from May to August 2005 showed that Port Stop Citgo failed to properly test and maintain the corrosion protection systems on three underground gasoline storage tanks.
