CHICAGO (June 28, 2005) — Media Advisory-- EPA Acting Regional Administrator to speak at Minnesota clean fleets workshop
WHAT: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5's Acting Administrator Bharat Mathur will speak on EPA's diesel focus at Clean Air Minnesota's Clean Fleets workshop. The workshop will focus on ways to reduce diesel emissions from trucks and other diesel-powered vehicles.
WHO: EPA Acting Regional Administrator Bharat Mathur, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Commissioner Sheryl Corrigan, Minnesota Department of Health Risk Assessor Chuck Stroebel, Clean Air Minnesota Director Bill Droessler, representatives from trucking associations and fleet managers.
WHEN: The Thursday, June 30, workshop begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Acting RA Mathur will kick off the workshop, and Commissioner Corrigan will give the keynote speech at the luncheon. The afternoon sessions will focus on technologies and overcoming obstacles.
WHERE: Science Museum of Minnesota, 120 W. Kellogg Blvd., across from River Center in downtown St. Paul, Minn.
