Colorado students contribute murals to United Nations' project

      Students paint murals for United Nations' Decade of the Culture of Peace and Nonviolence Among Children of the World Project
What: Colorado students will unveil their own painted murals during the opening session of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s 7th annual National Community Involvement Conference in Denver. The students' murals will be added to a mile-long environmental mural painted by children from all over the world. The mural is an official project of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest painting in the world.

Twenty of the murals will be displayed at the EPA National Community Involvement Conference where nearly 400 representatives from all levels of government, tribal organizations, community groups, academics and other stakeholders will gather to explore how community involvement can result in better environmental decisions.
    Who: Students affiliated with Downtown Aurora Visual Arts, Grant Ranch K-8 School in Littleton and the Center for Advanced Creative Thought and Study, a nonprofit that houses and supports Colorado-based arts-education programs.
