DAIRY WASTE, CLEAN WATER TO BE FOCUS OF DAIRY PARTNERSHIP EVENT

EPA TO JOIN DAIRY PARTNERSHIP, ANNOUNCE GRANT AT U.C. DAVIS DAIRY
EVENT: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will join the California Dairy Quality Assurance Partnership, and announce a grant to fund a State/U.C. Davis environmental stewardship training program for dairy operators. The open-air event will be held at U.C. Davis' Dairy Research and Training Facility, which is a working dairy with over 70 cows.

WHERE: U.C. Davis Dairy Research and Training Facility, on U.C. Davis Campus
DIRECTIONS: Take I-80 east from San Francisco or west from Sacramento to Highway 113 in Davis. Go north on Highway 113 then almost immediately exit right onto Hutchison Dr. At first four-way stop, turn right onto La Rue Road. As you proceed you will see dairy cows on your left. Follow La Rue as it curves to the left until you see the first parking lot on your left. Park in this lot, then walk north on Dairy Rd. about 300 yards to entrance of U.C. Davis Dairy Research And Training Facility.
