EPA settles with Visteon on hazardous waste violations at two Michigan plants

CHICAGO (April 20, 2006) - U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 has settled with Visteon Corporation for alleged violations of hazardous waste regulations at its Milan and Utica plants in Michigan.
Visteon's plastic-producing facility at 800 County St., Milan, and the trim plant at 50500 Mound Road, Shelby Township, Utica, were cited for failing to perform integrity assessments of newly installed hazardous waste tank systems. EPA assessed penalties of $25,000 and $5,000 respectively.
