US EPA Administrator to Participate in Discussion on Climate Protection at the US Conference of Mayors 82nd Annual Meeting

WASHINGTON – On Sunday, June 22, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Gina McCarthy will participate in a panel discussion on climate protection with U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Ernest Moniz during the plenary session at the U.S. Conference of Mayors 82nd Annual Meeting in Dallas, Texas. Administrator McCarthy will discuss climate with an emphasis on the Clean Power Plan proposal, a vital piece of President Obama's Climate Action Plan, which for the first time cuts carbon pollution from existing power plants, the single largest source of carbon pollution in the United States.
