U.S. EPA Administrator Carol M. Browner will address the American Electroplaters and Surface Finishers Society Conference on Pollution Prevention and Control on Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at 11:15 a.m. at the Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Fla. Browner will give remarks on a milestone agreement between EPA and the metal finishing industry for reinventing environmental regulation nationwide. Browner will discuss the terms of the agreement -- the first reached under the Clinton Administration’s Common Sense Initiative -- as well as EPA’s commitment to working with industry, state and local governments, community organizations, and other stakeholders to develop flexible, common sense ways to achieve greater environmental protection at less cost.
