U.S. EPA Administrator Carol M. Browner will join Senator John Chafee, Senator Jack Reed, Congressman Patrick Kennedy, and Congressman Robert Weygand on Monday, Oct. 27, 1997 at 11:40 a.m. at Victory Finishing Technologies Inc. in South Providence, R.I. to announce a milestone agreement for reinventing environmental regulation nationwide for the metal finishing industry. Browner will discuss the terms of the agreement -- the first reached under the Clinton Administration’s Common Sense Initiative -- and the Clinton Administration’s overall actions to develop new flexible, common sense ways to achieve greater environmental protection at less cost.
