Petersburg, Texas, Receives Grant to Replace Decommissioned Water Tank

(DALLAS – April 20, 2011) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $305,555 to the City of Petersburg, Texas, to increase diminished water pressure and provide additional water storage capacity. The project will allow the city to improve infrastructure for their public drinking water system by replacing a decommissioned water storage tank and maintaining sustainable, clean water that meets state and federal regulations.

EPA oversees the protection of water quality and public health. EPA works with communities to meet the growing needs and demands of limited water resources. EPA remains committed to developing innovative and sustainable solutions for managing and financing infrastructure with public partners.
