Denver -- Robbie Roberts, EPA’s Denver based Regional Administrator will honor new Commuter Choice partners at a recognition ceremony in Denver. These partners are joining the ranks of over 300 business leaders who have committed to improving air pollution and reducing traffic congestion in their communities. Program partners meet EPA’s National Standard of Excellence by offering commuter benefits, such as: transit and vanpool subsidies, compressed work schedules, telecommute opportunities, etc.
Partners being recognized today include: Bank One, Denver; Colorado State Attorney General’s Office; Encoda Systems; Freberg Environmental; IBM, Boulder; and Johns Mansville. Also, the City of Boulder’s Downtown Management Commission is being recognized as the Agency’s first “Commuter Choice District.” The Commission is bringing more than 1000 new partners into the program and is providing commuter benefits to all 10,000 employees who work in the downtown Boulder area.
