BROWNER TO ANNOUNCE U.S. WATERSHED ASSESSMENTS; GIVES CITIZENS ACCESS TO NATIONAL AND LOCAL WATER QUALITY DATA
EPA Administrator Carol M. Browner and Assistant Administrator for Water Robert Perciasepe will announce Thursday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m., the agency’s first comprehensive assessment of water quality in the 2,111 watersheds in the continental United States.
As part of EPA’s commitment to public right-to-know, this information will be made available for the first time tomorrow on the Internet. At the press conference, EPA will provide a web site demonstration of the new watershed data.
