(Washington, D.C.-Oct. 24, 2005) EPA has posted on the agency's Hurricane Katrina Web site three Public Service Announcements (PSAs) and four informational handouts in Vietnamese on potential environmental and health issues in the storm impacted areas. The PSAs and handouts are being distributed in affected communities for Vietnamese-speaking residents returning home as part of EPA's ongoing outreach efforts to help the Gulf Coast region recover.

Since cleanup activities can pose significant health and environmental challenges, the materials highlight possible dangerous situations residents may be exposed to such as:

Handouts:
· Septic Tanks
· Drinking Water - Louisiana Residents
· Mold
· Wells

PSAs:
· Carbon Monoxide (:30)
· Gas Leaks (:30)
· Household Cleaners (:30)

These files are for use by the Vietnamese media and general public.
