Free EPA Brownfields Grant Workshops

(Kansas City, Kan., Aug. 10, 2007) – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 7 Brownfields team is hosting three free one-day workshops titled “Improving Your Brownfields Grant Proposal.” Participants will learn about money available to assess and clean up brownfields in their community.

Each one day workshop is designed to cover the basics of submitting a proposal to the EPA Brownfields Program and offer guidance for improving the quality of the proposal. Information on how to register is available at: www.epa.gov/region07/news_events/events

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Individuals from local, state, and tribal governments; nonprofits; coalitions; land clearance authorities; and quasi-governmental entities interested in applying for brownfields assessment, revolving loan fund, cleanup and job training grants.
