EPA Awards $75,000 to UT Austin to Evaluate Used Oil Management

(Dallas, Texas – November 8, 2007) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $75,000 to the University of Texas at Austin to validate information about used oil management in Ciudad Juarez. Funds from this grant will be used to identify oil management tools such as oil recycling, combustion as fuel, or safe disposal to develop a model for used oil management in any cross-border metropolitan area. The goal of this project is to ensure better use of oil management and recycling.
