TEXAS MARINA OWNER SENTENCED
Cornelius Dewitte Loe, Jr., was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Sherman, Texas, on March 28, to serve 12 months in federal prison, serve two years of supervised release, pay a $3,000 fine, pay for the costs of environmental cleanup and pay the government's costs of investigation as a result of his Dec. 19, 1996, guilty plea to one count of violating the federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. Loe was charged with directing employees at the Highport Marina, which he owned on Lake Texoma north of Dallas to dispose of hazardous waste at the Anchor Ranch in Grayson County on Oct. 23 and 24, 1996.
