EPA Seeks Nominations for International Advisory Committee

The U.S. delegation of the Joint Advisory Committee for the Improvement of Air Quality in the Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, El Paso, Texas, and Do¤a Ana County, New Mexico Air Basin (JAC) is seeking nominations for an opening on the committee. This is a volunteer position without salary or reimbursement for expenses associated with service.
As JAC co-chair, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is coordinating the nomination and selection process for the U.S. delegation. The Agency is seeking a resident of the local community, El Paso County or southeastern Do¤a Ana County.
Self nominations and nominations on behalf of others will be accepted. Those nominated must be United States citizens and current residents of the U.S. portion of the air basin.
Nominations must contain the name, residence address, mailing address, telephone number, and facsimile number of the candidate. They must also include a brief description of the candidate's interest, background and experience in air quality matters in the air basin and a brief statement of the positive role the nominee can play on the Committee. Nomination packages should be no more than two single-sided typewritten pages. Reference letters from individuals supporting a candidate may be added to a nomination package.
