U.S. EPA HOLDS PRESS AVAILABILITY AT GEOTHERMAL WALL EMERGENCY RESPONSE SITE

The U.S. EPA will hold a press availability at a northern California geothermal site to demonstrate progress in capping unstable wells that have been leaking hydrogen sulfide. The EPA project manager will be on hand to demonstrate remediation methods, give a tour of the site and answer questions.

Directions: Take Route 101 North to Healdsburg. Exit at Dry Creek Road and turn right at stop sign. Turn left at second light onto Healdsburg Ave. Continue approximately 1.5 miles, turn right onto Alexander Valley Road. Continue approximately 3.5 miles, turn left onto Route 128. Continue approximately 2 miles, when Route 128 curves sharply to the left, you should continue straight toward the Geysers. Continue approximately 0.5 miles, turn left onto Geysers Road. Continue approximately 13 miles and turn left at the large white Unit 15 Steam Field Sign. Check in with the security guard.
