State health department gets $360,000 EPA grant for renovation projects

(Dallas, Texas – February 4, 2009) The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $360,000 to the Texas Department of State Health Services to conduct statewide inspections of demolition and renovation projects in public buildings. The inspections of toxic air pollutant potentially present during demolitions or renovations are part of the State’s program for planning, monitoring, and enforcing National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP).
