EPA Awards Over $200,000 to the New Mexico Department of Agriculture

(Dallas, Texas – November 17, 2009) The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $225,263 to the New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA). The funds will be used to administer a comprehensive State Pesticide Regulatory Program and maintain an effective pesticide enforcement program. NMDA will also use the funds to maintain effective worker protection standards, develop and implement a program to protect water resources from pesticide risks, and protect threatened or endangered species from pesticides.
