Earth Day Celebration Planned

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has scheduled a full day of activities to celebrate America's Great Places at the 28th Earth Day, April 22, 1998. This year's local theme, "Healthy Earth, Healthy Me," focuses attention on the many ways the environment affects children's health.

Automobile Building, Fair Park, Dallas
ACTIVITIES:1 p.m
Acting Regional Administrator Jerry Clifford, along with local Federal Agency leaders, welcomes more than 3,000 children from throughout Dallas/Fort Worth to the Earth Day Environmental Fair. About 60 exhibitors and 100 EPA volunteers will demonstrate a variety of ways to preserve and protect our environment. Additionally, students from almost three dozen area schools will participate in a science fair. Projects will be judged by EPA scientists.
