The meeting starts on Oct. 22 at 1:00 p.m. and closes on Oct. 23 at 5:00 p.m. The PPDC will address several topics including a status report on implementation of the 1996 Food Quality Protection Act; an update on various right-to-know initiatives, including the development of EPA’s consumer brochure on pesticide residues in food and the Consumer Labeling Initiative; recent recommendations from the International Life Sciences Institute on testing organophosphates; and a review of how section 18 tolerances are evaluated and established for minor use crops. The PPDC consists of approximately 25 members and was established in 1996 under the Federal Advisory Committee Act.
