EPA Employee Awarded Two Medals

PHILADELPHIA -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency awarded two bronze medals for superior service to a local employee.
Vance Evans of Yeadon, Pa. received an award for his efforts toward the cleanup of residential lead near Abex Superfund site in Portsmouth, Pa. Mr. Evans also recieved an award for his contribution toward the planning, design and implementation of the GreenLease Project, which enforced environmental values at EPA’s new offices at 1650 Arch St. Mr. Evans, a community involvement coordinator, has worked for more than nine years at EPA.
"Vance deserves applause for his hard work. Thanks to him, the mid-Atlantic region is a cleaner, safer place to live," said W. Michael McCabe, EPA regional administrator.
