EPA ANNOUNCES FIRST “SMART GROWTH” GRANTS

EPA Deputy Administrator Linda Fisher tomorrow Wednesday, July 24, will announce the launching of EPA’s Smart Growth grant program. EPA is awarding $405,000 to nine communities under the “Smart Growth: Saving Open Space, Revitalizing Brownfields” program. Each community will receive $45,000 for the redevelopment of properties where reuse is complicated by real or perceived contamination.
