CYPRESS CREEK WATER TREATMENT PLANT IN TAMPA BAY, FLORIDA WINS 2003 SAFE DRINKING WATER ACT EXCELLENCE AWARD

On Monday, July 21, 2003, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will award the Cypress Creek Water Treatment Plant in Tampa Bay, Florida with the 2003 Safe Drinking Water Act Excellence Award for the Large Ground Water category. The award will be presented during the Tampa Bay Board meeting.
The Safe Drinking Water Act Excellence Award recognizes and award water systems that are demonstrating their commitment to compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act through outstanding operations and maintenance practices; heightens overall public awareness of the contributions of public water supplies for ensuring adequate and safe drinking water; and encourages public support for maintaining this exemplary status.
