WASHINGTON – EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson will hold joint news conferences with Ohio public officials in Columbus and Cincinnati on Wednesday, June 3 to announce grants from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for Clean Diesel programs in auto communities across Ohio.
Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher will join Administrator Jackson for a Statehouse press conference to discuss clean diesel grants for retrofitted construction and transit equipment. The administrator will hold a press conference at Monfort Heights Elementary School in Cincinnati to discuss grants for clean diesel school buses. She will be joined in Cincinnati by David Pepper, president of the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners, and Ohio Environmental Protection Agency Director Chris Korleski.
President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 on February 17, 2009 and has directed that the recovery act be implemented with unprecedented transparency and accountability. To that end, the American people can see how every dollar is being invested at recovery.gov.
