PUBLIC MEETINGS TO BE HELD ON THE PROPOSED TRI LEAD RULE

EPA is planning to hold three public meetings to provide an opportunity for the public to comment on the Aug. 3 proposed rule to lower the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) reporting thresholds for lead and lead compounds. The Agency is interested in receiving comments on all aspects of the proposal, including issues recently raised concerning the potential small-business impacts of the proposed rule. The locations and times of these three meetings are: Los Angeles, Calif., on Nov. 30 from 9 a.m to 3 p.m., at the Junipero Serra State Building at 107 South Broadway, in the auditorium, Room 1138; Chicago, Ill., on Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the U.S. EPA, Lake Michigan Room, 12th Floor, 77 West Jackson Blvd.; and 3 Washington, D.C. on Dec. 14 from 9 a.m to 3 p.m., U.S. EPA Auditorium, Education Center, 401 M St. S.W.
