BROWNFIELDS ‘99 CONFERENCE IN DALLAS, TEXAS
Brownfields ‘99 - Alliances for 21st Century Livability - Environmental Challenges and Solutions is being held Dec. 6-8 in Dallas, Texas at the Adam’s Mark Hotel. This is the fourth annual brownfields conference co-sponsored by EPA. A list of the conference co-sponsors is available on EPA’s web page at: https://www.epa.gov/brownfields. Participation at the conference has grown from 500 attendees in Pittsburgh, Penn. in 1996 to over 2,000 attendees at Brownfields ‘98 in Los Angeles, Calif. Conference participants include financiers, community representatives, local and state governmental officials, the business community, real estate investors and environmentalists. The diversity of participants emphasizes the importance of the many issues that are part of brownfields cleanup and redevelopment. Brownfields ‘99 will be a critical avenue to bringing together a wide range of stakeholders to foster effective partnerships that facilitate the revitalization of contaminated properties.
