EPA Presents Brownfields Check to Missouri Department of Natural Resources

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Kansas City, Kan., June 25, 2007) – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 7 will present a $400,000 check to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) for brownfields assessment of hazardous substances and petroleum. The check will be presented during an awards program at the Missouri Waste Coalition Conference. MDNR was the only state office in Region 7 selected to receive competitive grant money this year for brownfields projects in smaller communities.
