The Rhoderia Drum site is located in a rural residential neighborhood in Stallings, Union County, North Carolina, southeast of Charlotte. The site is approximately one acre and includes three wooded, undeveloped residential lots. No structures are on the site and the property is heavily vegetated with mature trees and thick undergrowth. Portions of buried drums and debris are exposed to the surface. Previous environmental analysis of the soil indicates that portions of the property contain soil with concentrations of lead at levels of concern.
