EPA ADMINISTRATOR BROWNER TO REPORT LATEST COMMUNITY RIGHT-TO-KNOW DATA ON LOCAL TOXIC CHEMICAL RELEASES
MEDIA ADVISORY
U.S. EPA Administrator Carol M. Browner will report on EPA's most recent Toxic Release Inventory data (TRI) in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, May 20, at noon. TRI is a public database that requires industry to publicly report on highly toxic chemicals released into air, land or water in local communities across the U.S. The new TRI report includes data on 286 chemicals, added to the right-to-know requirements by the Clinton Administration three years ago, that are being reported for the first time.
