EPA Region 7, in partnership with the Greater Kansas City Federal Executive Board (FEB), Black Federal Employees Council, and other federal agencies, are sponsoring a training celebration on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at the Westin Crown Center, One Pershing Road, Kansas City, Mo. (Admission is free for reporters.)
EPA Region 7 Administrator Jim Gulliford said, “We salute and celebrate the achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who led the struggle for civil rights and dignity of African-Americans. African-Americans, including the late Rosa Parks, have played key roles in many of the most triumphant and courageous times in our Nation’s history.”
The media is invited to attend from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will be in the Century A Ballroom, Westin Crown Center, One Pershing Road, Kansas City, Mo. The guest speakers will be Carl Schramm, president and CEO of the Kauffman Foundation, and Victor Hogstrom, president and CEO of KCPT-TV, Kansas City, Mo.
